FOUNDATION YEAR
FOUNDATION YEAR
What Is a Foundation Year?
The Foundation Year, also known as an Extended Degree, prepares students for smooth transition into university study.
It lasts one year and introduces the core skills needed for academic success.
Who Needs a Foundation Year?
The Foundation Year is required for students who do not meet direct entry requirements.
After reviewing your academic background, the university will decide whether you begin with the Foundation Year or join Year 1 directly.
